Marjorie Kuolt Graves

Former Southold, N.Y., resident Marjorie Kuolt Graves, 83, of Tallahassee, Fla., passed away peacefully in her sleep April 29, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Graves, also of Tallahassee.

Marjorie was born Feb. 26, 1929, to Milton and Martha Kuolt, missionaries in India, where she lived until the age of 12. She and her husband retired to Tallahassee in 1986 after residing in Southold.

Mom was loved deeply by her family and friends. Dad always refers to her as “the love of my life.”

Survivors also include three sons, John R. Graves (Peggy) of St. Paul, Minn., Robert M. Graves (Sandy) and Christopher S. Graves, both of Tallahassee; her brother, John Kuolt of Goodyear, Ariz.; and her best friend, Marion Fiedler of Southold, N.Y. Marjorie had 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Stephen M. Graves, her brother Milton Kuolt and her sister, Julie Biermann.

A private family service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Marjorie Graves may be made to Leon County Humane Society, 413 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312.
