Baseball: Southold playoff opener postponed again

For the second time in as many days, Southold’s scheduled opener in the Suffolk County Class C baseball finals against Pierson/Bridgehampton has been postponed because of inclement weather. Game 1 of the best-of-three series has been rescheduled for tomorrow at Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor at 4 p.m. Meanwhile, the rest of the series has been pushed back a day. The second game is slated for Thursday at 4 p.m. at Southold High School. If a third game is necessary, it will be played Friday in Sag Harbor at 4 p.m.

Southold has a 13-7 record. Pierson/Bridgehampton is 18-2; one of its two losses came to Southold.
