Cops: Southold man hits two utility poles, held for DWI

A 34-year-old Southold man was picked up on a DWI charge on Main Bayview Road in Southold Friday night, according to police.

David Riddell cross over into the opposite lane and struck two utility poles just after 10 p.m., said police.

After being treated for minor injuries at Eastern Long Island Hospital, Mr. Riddell was taken to police headquarters and held for a morning arraignment, police said.
