Marie C. Petersen Lloyd

Longtime Southold resident Marie C. Petersen Lloyd of Troy, N.Y., died May 2, 2012, at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center after a long illness. She was 90.

Born in Flensburg, Germany, she was daughter of the late Peter Petersen and Amelia Wiese Petersen and wife of the late Thomas F. Lloyd. She was raised in Queens and educated in Brooklyn schools.

Ms. Lloyd worked as a bookkeeper for the Association for Chinese Blind in New York City and was a homemaker. She retired to Southold, N.Y., where she had lived for 30 years.

Marie loved antique hunting, baking and reading and will always be remembered at the Kingswood Methodist Camp for her wonderful cooking.

Survivors include a daughter, Naomi Lloyd of West Sand Lake, N.Y., and two grandchildren, William and Randall Feldhusen. She was predeceased by a son, Peter Lloyd, and a brother, Henry Petersen.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.
