Cops: East Marion man was drunk, supervising helmetless child on bike

An East Marion man was arrested Tuesday after police caught him drunk and walking a bicycle with a helmetless kid in a child seat along Main Street in Greenport, Southold Town police said.

After police observed  him walking the child, the man, Adam Laskowski, 53, was stopped for an interview, at which time police said they smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage.

Mr. Lakowski was then arrested for endangering the welfare of a child, transported to headquarters, processed and held for arraignment, according to police.
