Cops: Pair of late night DWI arrests in Southold Town

Southold Town Police made a pair of DWI arrests on Route 25 after 11 p.m. Sunday night, they said in press releases.

The first arrest came at 11:04 p.m. near Reeve Avenue in Mattituck, after Hector Jimenez, 23, of New Suffolk was observed failing to maintain his lane of travel. Police said they determined he was intoxicated after an interview. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license.

At midnight,  Gerardo Gonzales, 20, of Hampton Bays was pulled over for failing to maintain his lane of travel near South Harbor Road in Southold. He, too, was found to be intoxicated, police said.

Both men were transported to police headquarters where they are expected to be arraigned today.
