Cops: Southold man driving wrong direction charged with DWI

A 49-year-old Southold man with a prior DWI was arrested Saturday night after police observed him driving the wrong direction on Tuckers Lane in Southold, according to a police report. It was his second arrest in two days, police said.

Jeffrey Juettner was charged with DWI along with unlicensed operation of a vehicle, a felony, because his license was revoked after a prior DWI, Southold Police said.

Police said they observed Mr. Juettner at 6 p.m. driving his vehicle northbound in the southbound lane of traffic on Tuckers Lane, where he was stopped and found to be intoxicated.

Police said on Thursday they found Mr. Juettner at the Southold 7-Eleven, where he was arrested for a revoked driver’s license, unlicensed operation of a vehicle and expired inspection. He was transported to headquarters, processed and released on $100 cash bail.
