Former East Marion resident Jonathan Patrick Gould died July 20 in Queens. He was 29 years old.
Born in Riverhead April 29, 1983, to Jennifer (Bond) and Timothy E. Gould, he graduated from Greenport High School and attended the University of Delaware in Newark, Del.
Mr. Gould was a police officer in the NYPD’s 19th Precinct for four and a half years and was awarded Cop of the Month in November 2010.
He liked to play golf, enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the N.Y. Mets and the Chicago Bears.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, John C. Williams, of East Marion; his father and stepmother, Christine S. Bahls, of West Chester, Pa.; his sister, Katherine Borun (Noah) of Seattle, Wash.; and his half-brother, Zachary McDowell of Southold.
Visiting hours are set for Tuesday, July 24, 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport. A service will take place Wednesday, July 25, at 10 a.m. at Church of the Redeemer in Mattituck, the Rev. Charles E. Schnabel officiating.
