Cops: Two men sent to hospital following Mattituck crash

Two North Forkers were sent to Peconic Bay Medical Center Saturday night after one of their cars rear-ended the other at the corner of Main Road and Bray Avenue in Mattituck, Southold Town police said.

Greg Sirilis, 18, of Mattituck was stopped, waiting to turn left onto Bray Avenue from Main Road when his vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Wayne Kinkade, 54, of East Marion, police said.

Both men were  transported by Mattituck FD rescue to Peconic Bay Medical Center for injuries they sustained in the accident, according to a press release police sent out Monday morning.

The roadway was closed for approximately 45 minutes and both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
