Two people were treated at an area hospital Thursday night after a tw0-car crash in which one driver blew a stop sign and smacked into a pickup truck on Main Road in Greenport, Southold police said.

The pickup truck’s driver was then ticketed for operating a vehicle without a license, police said.

According to a police report, Connor Stepnoski, 20, was heading south on Chapel Lane about 8:10 p.m. when he “neglected to stop at the stop sign” at Main Road and struck a red pickup being driven by Alma Sandoval, 47, who was heading west.

Ms. Sandoval of Greenport and an unnamed passenger in her car were transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries

Ms. Sandoval was ticketed for unlicensed driving, a violation.

A police report made no mention of charges against Mr. Stepnoski, who was not hurt in the crash.
