Cops: Laurel man was driving drunk on Peconic Bay Boulevard

A North Fork man was arrested early Sunday after being observed driving drunk on Peconic Bay Boulevard in Laurel, Southold Town Police said.

Thomas Hobson, 32, of Laurel was stopped for an undisclosed traffic infraction shortly before 1 a.m., police said. He refused a breath test, according to police.

Mr. Hobson was transported to police headquarters and held overnight for a Sunday morning arraignment, police said.
