Cops: Mattituck woman attacked lady who killed her five fish

A Mattituck woman faces harassment charges after she attacked another woman she claimed poured bleach into her fish tank August 20, Southold Town Police said.

After her arrest, Maryann Walsh, 38, told police the woman, with whom she shares an address with, killed her five goldfish.

Ms. Walsh, who was charged with second-degree harassment, then allegedly approached the other woman and began yelling at her and hitting her. While interviewing the victim, police said they noticed a red mark on the side of her face and a small abrasion on her left arm.

Ms. Walsh was charged with public urination in Southold in 2010. Last year, she was arrested for disorderly conduct after police spotted her drinking a 24-ounce can of beer in the middle of a roadway in Greenport.
