Kenneth Cornell deLoiselle

Kenneth Cornell deLoiselle, a 42-year resident of Cutchogue, died on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at Stony Brook Hospital. He was 86 years old.

He was born in Southampton, N.Y., on June 29, 1926, to Monti and Marion (née Foster) deLoiselle and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

After his honorable discharge, he went on to a career with Verizon that lasted 43 years, retiring as a supervisor.

He had served on the Board of Directors for Sapphire Village for seven years, the Board of Deacons of Southampton Presbyterian Church and was a 60-year member and former Master of the Old Town Masonic Lodge No. 908.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (née Krueger), whom he married on Nov. 22, 1969, in Southold. Also surviving are two children, Edward deLoiselle of Maryland and Debra Mishik of New Jersey; seven grandchildren; two nephews, Thomas Scholl and Donald Scholl; two grandnieces and two grandnephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Edmund deLoiselle.

The family received friends on Aug. 6 at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold, where religious services were held Aug. 7 by the Rev. Jin Hyoung Kim. Interment with U.S. Navy honors was at Calverton National Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Masonic Order.
