East End Drug Task Force nets four arrests in Southold Town

The East End Drug Task Force arrested four alleged drug dealers this week, including a man who had evaded police since the early spring of 2011, according to Southold Town Police.

Khaliq Hassan, 29, whose last known address was in Greenport, was located in Pennsylvania earlier this month and eventually charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, police said.

The Task Force also executed a search warrant this morning on South Street in Greenport and arrested Thomas Reed, 66, and Ernestine Reed, 55, after finding marijuana and a large sum of money, police said. They were both charged with one count of criminal possession of marijuana, a felony. The Suffolk County Police Emergency Services Unit, Southold Town Police and the Southold Town K-9 unit all assisted in the search warrant.

On Wednesday police arrested Akele Lewis, 22, of Laurel and charged him with two felony and two misdemeanor counts of criminal sale of marijuana.
