Cops: Bellport man arrested on drug charges

A Bellport man was arrested on drug charges by Southold Town Police Friday night.

Tremayne Smith, 36, was picked up on an arrest warrant from 2010 and transported to police headquarters at about 10:15 p.m. Friday, where he was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail or a fine of up to $1,000.
