Police Blotter: iPad, shrubs and push-mower reported stolen

• An 18-year-old Greenport resident’s silver iPad, valued at $250, was stolen from his knapsack, which was in a red Chevrolet SUV between Sept. 29 and Oct. 2, police said.

• Fourteen shrubs were stolen from a display garden at the entrance to Greenport on Willow Street on the night of Oct. 4, police said. A resident reported that 10 boxwoods valued at $300, two Alberta spruce shrubs valued at $80 and two fern shrubs worth $60 were stolen that night. A neighbor reported hearing a car in the area at 4 a.m. Oct. 5.

• A Greenport man reported the theft of his $400 Taurus push-mower from his lawn at the end of last week.

• Six more political signs were stolen from North Fork lawns between Oct. 2 and Oct. 6, police said. Four were described as Obama signs and the other two were not identified.
