Photo of the Day: Big pumpkin & little kids in Orient

In case they ever wondered what it might look like, Orient Congregational Church pre-schoolers got the chance Thursday to see a 500-pound pumpkin, of the Dill’s Atlantic Giant variety, to be precise, grown by Tom Stevenson at The Oysterponds Farm in Orient.

“That’s a baby compared to some of the record-setters,” Mr. Stevenson said. “A guy up in Rhode Island just grew one that’s over two thousand pounds.”
