A $1,000 reward is being offered by the Southold Democratic Party for the arrest of the person or persons that vandalized the automobile of democratic committee woman Sally Kahn,  according to a press release sent out by the committee.

Ms. Kahn’s husband, Francis, reported the Honda Accord had its poltiical bumper stickers spraypainted with black spraypaint on Tuesday, Oct. 23, police said.

“This is a new low in attacks on Democrats and their candidates,” the democratic committee’s chair, Arthur Tillman said. ” The vandalism is politically motivated and is an attempt to stifle opposition and free speech.”

Those who have any information about the incident, which occurred in a North Bayview Ave driveway in Soiuthold this week, should call Southold Town Police at 762-2600.
