Cops: Man caught stealing donations box at 7-Eleven

An undomiciled man was arrested early Wednesday morning after he stole a donations box from Greenport 7-Eleven early Wednesday morning, Southold Town police said.

Jason Mealy, 35, was arrested just after 2:30 a.m. when he took the donations box from the convenience store counter and left, police said.

Mr. Mealy was located, arrested, transported to headquarters, processed and held for arraignment, according to the report.
