Cops: Woman pushed her way into Mattituck home

A Westhampton woman was arrested for criminal trespassing after she pushed her way into a Mattituck home Tuesday morning, Southold Town Police said.

Sharon Rosato, 49, knocked on a the door to a New Suffolk Avenue residence at about 11:30 a.m. and asked the homeowner if she could come inside, police said. When the homeowner said no, Ms. Rosato reportedly forced her way into the residence.

Following her arrest on a misdemeanor charge Ms. Rosato was taken to police headquarters, processed and later released on bail, according to police.
