Greenport Village planning board to discuss Madison Avenue site plan

JENNIFER GUSTAVSON FILE PHOTO | The Greenport Village planning board meets tonight at 5 p.m.

The Greenport Village planning board is expected to discuss a site plan application for 510 Madison Avenue, a residential property that has been vacant for several years.

According to tonight’s agenda, James Olinkiewicz plans to build a two-family structure at the site where overgrown weeds, beer cans and garbage have surrounded an unfinished foundation. The village put a $6,000 lien on the property to compensate for the cost of excavating the foundation and filling it in with sand, as well as cleaning up the site.

In addition to Mr. Olinkiewicz’s application, the planning board is likely to vote the final site approval for Blue Canoe Oyster Bar and Grill.
