Cops: Southold man charged with DWI following crash

A Southold man was arrested for driving while intoxicated Wednesday night after being involved in a crash, Southold Town police said.

Daniel Jerome, 49, failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle on Main Road in Southold, causing the 9 p.m. crash, police said.

Further investigation revealed Mr. Jerome was intoxicated and he was arrested for DWI and issued other traffic violations, police said.

Nobody was injured in the incident, according to the report.
