Cops: Homeless woman charged with trespassing in Greenport
A homeless woman was arrested Tuesday night on trespassing charges after causing a disturbance at a convenience store in Greenport, Southold Town police said in a press release.
Lorinda Pendleton, 39, was nabbed at around 9:30 p.m. when she returned to Layyah located on Front Street after the owner told her she was not allowed back into the store, police said.
Ms. Pendleton was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, transported to police headquarters and held for arraignment, officials said.
