Alice C. MacDonald

Alice C. MacDonald, an eight-year resident of Melbourne Beach, Fla., died there Jan. 6 at age 67. She had previously lived on the North Fork for 40 years, in both Mattituck and Riverhead.

Born in the Bronx to Josephine (Gibaloro) and Robert Geis, she was a self-employed paralegal and estate administrator who also enjoyed entertaining and decorating.

Ms. MacDonald is survived by her daughter, Debora Blackmore; her son, Robert Blackmore; her sister, Robin Colapietro; her brother, Gerald Geis; and three grandchildren, Joseph and Matthew Graziano and Melissa Blackmore.

Visiting hours took place Jan. 12 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead, where a service was held Jan. 13. Karen Heacock, pastoral care assistant at Mattituck Presbyterian Church, officiated. Cremation was private.
