Cutchogue man arrested on aggravated DWI charge

A man with a prior drunken driving conviction was arrested for DWI again in Mattituck Sunday evening, police said in a press release issued Thursday.

Brendan James Corbley, 26, of Cutchogue was stopped on Route 25 near the McDonalds after police got reports of an erratic driver on the road, according to a police report. Police found that Mr. Corbley was intoxicated and arrested him, according to the report.

He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed driving, and failure to submit to a breath test, police said.

Mr. Corbley was held at police headquarters for morning arraignment. Because of his prior DWI conviction, Mr. Corbley’s vehicle was seized by police.
