Victoria Larson

Victoria Larson (Vicki) died Feb. 8, 2013, in her 56th year. 

Beloved wife of Reed for 33 years. Loving mother of Andrew. Devoted daughter of Kenneth and the late Mary (Neal) Ackley. Dearest sister of Gwendolyn (Wendy) Kolomick and Ellen Richman. Adored by her mother-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunt, nephews, cousins and friends.

She grew up in Old Bethpage, Long Island, lived in Pittsburgh, San Diego, and Erie, Pa., before returning to the East End of Long Island. She loved the beach and sailing, was a 27-year member of the Southwestern Yacht Club in San Diego and belonged to the Southold Yacht Club. 

An active Boy Scout leader of Southold Troop 6. Graduate and Trustee of Alfred University. Founder and President of Ackley Home Health Services of San Diego, Calif. Dedicated nursing supervisor at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport, N.Y. 

Memorial service to be held Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Mattituck Presbyterian Church, time to be announced. 

Arrangements were handled by DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Homes, 51400 Main Road (Route 25), Southold, NY 11971.
