Lauren Rachel Ciappetta

Lauren Rachel Ciappetta of Westfield, Mass., died March 9 at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut. She was 28 years old.

She was born Dec. 1, 1984, to Vincent A. and Helene P. (Behm) Ciappetta at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. She earned a Doctor of Pharmacy and worked as a supervisory pharmacist at Big Y Foods in Lee, Mass., and at Rite Aid.

She enjoyed hiking, jogging, snorkeling and traveling.

She is survived by her parents and her brother Jonathan E. Ciappetta, all of Cutchogue; her brother Vincent J. Ciappetta of Calabash, N.C.; her sister, Dawn Marie Miller of Islip; her grandmother, Mildred Behm; her nieces and nephew, Erica, Amanda and Steven Bahnweg; her aunt Carol, uncle Henry and cousins Allison and Jesse; uncle Joseph Ciappetta and family of Maine; uncle Peter Ciappetta and family of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and uncle John Ciappetta and family of Orlando, Fla.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday, March 13, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. A service will be held Thursday, March 14, at 1:30 p.m. at North Fork Reform Synagogue, located at Cutchogue Presbyterian Church, Rabbi David Adelson officiating. Interment will be in Cutchogue.
