Rose Agria

Rose Agria of Peconic died in her home on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the age of 100.

She was born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., on Oct. 6, 1912, to Joseph and Maria (Vizaccari) Viola. In 1931, she married John Agria in Mount Vernon.

Predeceased on March 21, 1989, by her husband, the Rev. John Agria, she leaves her children, John Agria of Tempe, Ariz., and Violetta Agria of Sun City West, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, Helice, Adriane, Shelley, Kirsten, Paula, Virginia, Ruth and Deborah; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers.

Rose was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Southold and had been an organist and choir director for various North Fork churches. She will be remembered as a devoted homemaker.

Graveside services and interment were on Monday, March 18, at Cutchogue Cemetery. The Rev. George Summers officiated. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix, Ariz., and will be announced.

Memorial donations to East End Hospice would be appreciated.
