Cutchogue man killed in single-car accident

A Cutchogue man was killed after losing control of his pickup truck and crashing into a tree on Sound Avenue early Saturday morning, Riverhead Town Police said.

Rigoberto Boror, 35, was traveling westbound on Sound Avenue when he lost control of his blue Dodge pickup truck, crashing into a tree on the north side of the lane, police said. The single-car accident happened just west of West Lane in Aquebogue, according to a report.

Mr. Boror was trapped inside the vehicle, sustaining severe injuries, police said.

Riverhead Fire Department volunteers, Riverhead Ambulance Corps and a Suffolk County Police Department MedEvac helicopter responded to the scene, officials said. Mr. Boror was transported by ambulance to Peconic Bay Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
