Saturday run planned to show support for Boston

The running group NoFo Runners has scheduled a 9 a.m. run/walk for Saturday morning in support and remembrance of Monday’s tragedy in Boston on Patriot’s Day.

The group will meet at the Mattituck Starbucks in the Waldbaum’s Plaza for a three-mile run/walk. Anyone is invited to join. Those who wish to run are encouraged to throw down their Yankees cap for a day and wear Boston apparel.

Five North Fork area residents were participants in the Boston Marathon, which ended in tragedy yesterday afternoon when two bombs detonated near the finish line, killing three and injuring hundreds more.

NoFo Runners typically meets for runs on weekend mornings in Mattituck or in Cutchogue.
