Stanton J. Ehrenson

Stanton J. Ehrenson died April 11 at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport at the age of 81. He had resided at Peconic Landing in Greenport for one and a half years after living in Port Jefferson for 43 years.

Born Oct. 13, 1931, in New York City to Miriam (Stein) and Alexander Ehrenson, he married Marghretta M. Brigl on July 3, 1960, in Queens.

Mr. Ehrenson did post-doctorate work in chemistry at the University of Chicago and had been employed as a theoretical chemist at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton for 25 years.

Mr. Ehrenson is survived by his wife; his daughters, Sarah Ehrenson-Miller of Cutchogue and Ruth Metcalf of Portland, Ore.; and his grandchildren, Page and Hudson Miller and Leah and Alex Metcalf.

The family received visitors April 13 at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport.
