Brian C. Evans

Brian C. Evans of Cutchogue died May 15, 2013. He was 60.

He was born in Queens to Leroy and Helen Catherine (Kaloski) Evans.

Brian had been a first-class machinist and worked for Future Screw Machine Products in Southold, Posimech Inc. in Medford and, most recently, Elko Machine and Tool Company in Southold.

In his free time he enjoyed metal detecting, fishing, crabbing, mushroom hunting and playing miniature golf. Family members recalled how he enjoyed dancing and will forever be remembered as the life of the party.

Surviving are his wife, Susan (née Zebroski); his mother, Helen Long of Riverhead; two children, Anthony (Alisha) Evans of Wauchula, Fla., and Brianne (Bryan) Lee of Aspen, Colo.; a sister, Patricia (James) Tyler of Titusville, Fla.; two grandchildren, Piper Evans and Kyle Lee; and nieces and nephews.

The family received friends May 18 at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck, where a service was conducted by Father Kenneth Hand. The Rite of Committal was private.
