Accident closes Main Road in Cutchogue

Route 25 between Cox Lane and Depot Road in Cutchogue was closed early Tuesday evening as police and fire department rescue personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash by the King Kullen shopping complex.

It appears a van heading eastbound collided with a car, also heading east, that may have been turning into the shopping center. Two ambulances responded and the occupants of both vehicles, including several children, were taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No other information was immediately available.
