A car rolled down a Mattituck driveway Tuesday morning and smashed into another vehicle on Route 25 after the owner did not put the car in park, Southold Town police said.

Lucinda Bonilla, 44, tried to park her 2002 Toyota in her driveway along Main Road about 11:30 a.m. but didn’t properly place the vehicle in park, police said.

The Toyota rolled down her driveway without a driver and into the road, where it hit a 2001 Ford landscaping vehicle driven by 71-year-old Sabas Rodriguez of Southold.

Police did not report any injuries from the accident.
