Cops: Bookkeeper stole from Southold business

A Greenport woman was arrested for stealing more than $1,600 from the Southold business where she was employed as a bookkeeper, according to a Southold Town police press release.

Pamela Reed, 20, forged a business check and falsified records to cover up the theft, police said.

She was arrested Friday morning and charged with fourth degree grand larceny, second degree forgery and falsifying business records, police said. She was arraigned in Southold Town Justice Court.
