Samuel C. Dickieson

Former Greenport resident Samuel C. Dickieson of Seneca Falls, N.Y., died July 2 at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva, N.Y. He was 89 years old.

He was born Oct. 8, 1923, in Brooklyn to Samuel B. and Anna (Henkel) Dickieson, and was raised in Greenport.

He married Dorothy Sturzenberger Dec. 21, 1947.

Mr. Dickieson is survived by his wife; his daughters, Christine Pesses of Gloversville, N.Y., and Catherine Jovinelly of Waynewood, Pa.; and six grandchildren.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday, July 13, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Seneca Falls, the Rev. Leah Ntuala officiating. A reception will follow at the church until 3 p.m. Interment will be at Sampson Veterans Cemetery in Waterloo, N.Y.
