Southold police: Drunken woman broke officer’s hand

A Southold Town police officer suffered a broken hand after being pushed over by a drunken woman in Greenport Tuesday night, officials said.

Officers were called to a house at Calebs Way about 10:45 p.m. when they found 46-year-old Donna Frank “in an intoxicated condition,” according to a police press release issued Friday.

As an officer attempted to interview the woman, she pushed him, causing him to fall off a porch and break his hand.

Ms. Frank then had to be subdued by another officer, whom she spat upon, police said.

She was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, assault, resisting arrest and harassment.
