Is your filing cabinet bursting with old, useless documents? Clean out the clutter during Southold Town’s paper-shredding event today.

Paper shredding services will be available free to residents for securely disposing of documents. With proof of residency people may bring down paper documents, files, computer paper, check registers, manila folders, wire spiral loose leaf binders and soft cover books — staples and paper clips are also accepted.

Corrugated cardboard, hard covers, wood, plastic and metal are not accepted.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Peconic Recreation Center located 970 Peconic Lane.
