Drug bust outside Mattituck supermarket

At least one person was arrested Friday afternoon in connection to a drug bust in Mattituck, Southold Town Police Chief Martin Flatley said.

Shortly after 2 p.m. Friday, five cop cars, including one K-9 unit, descended on the Mattituck Plaza parking lot on Route 25, police said.

Officers thoroughly searched a Mercedes Benz following the arrest of at least one person for possession of marijuana, Mr. Flatley said.

Police dogs also searched the vehicle.

Mr. Flatley said more information will be made available to the public.
