Police: Southold man charged with DWI on Main Road

A 68-year-old man was arrested on a drunken driving charge early Sunday after police stopped his car for swerving on Main Road in Southold, town police said.

Benito Choquin-Montenero was charged with misdemeanor DWI after the 1:40 a.m. traffic stop near the library, police said.

Police stopped Mr. Choquin-Montenero’s care after spotting it failing to maintain its lane, police said.

He was processed at Southold Town police headquarters and held for arraignment.
