Helen Malkush

Former Mattituck resident Helen Malkush of West Islip died Oct. 19.

Predeceased by her husband, Bernard, and her daughter, Michelle Becker, she is survived by her son, Michael; her sister, Irene Petrie; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 2 to 4:30 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Ukrainian Church in Lindenhurst. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
