Annamae Caroline Walker

Annamae Caroline Walker of Southold died Nov. 6 at her home. She was 90 years old.

She was born March 8, 1923, in Jamaica, Queens, to Thomas and Anna Brown and married David Carney Walker May 30, 1949, in Queens Village.

She was a homemaker who loved traveling and served as a USO hostess during World War II. A former resident of Cutchogue, she was also a Red Cross volunteer and a past president of the Cutchogue Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Predeceased by a son, David, and a grandson, Ms. Walker is survived by her husband; her children, Therese Bodenstein, Mary George, Irene Smith, Jean Pliakas, Robert, Ann Marie and Edward; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors Nov. 8 at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. A funeral Mass took place Nov. 9 at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue. Burial followed at Calverton National Cemetery.
