In an effort to meet the growing demand for primary care services, Eastern Long Island Hospital has added a new physician to its staff.

The hospital has hired Dr. Yuliya Vinnitskaya, internal medicine physician, at its primary care office in Southold — East End Physician Services on Route 48.

Dr. Vinnitskaya earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, and completed her residency in internal medicine at Stony Brook University Medical Center. Prior to joining Eastern Long Island Hospital, Dr. Vinnitskaya served as a hospitalist in the Department of Internal Medicine at Nyack Hospital and at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown.

“I believe in the one-on-one patient doctor relationship for the continuity of care,” Dr. Vinnitskaya said. “As medicine becomes more complex, maintaining that relationship with regular screenings and physical examinations is the most effective treatment available to help patients stay healthy and live life to the fullest.”

Dr. Vinnitskaya joins Dr. Lloyd Simon at the Southold based office.
