The Krupski and Scott families will be honored by the North Fork Chamber of Commerce at its third annual Snowflake Gala and Awards Dinner at Raphael Winery in Peconic Jan. 31.

Both families will receive the chamber’s 2013-14 award for community service.

“It’s a night filled with festivity to honor these wonderful people,” chamber secretary and Snowflake Gala co-chair Terry Walker said.

Ms. Walker said Don Scott and his family, who for 50 years have owned Southold Pharmacy on Main Road, are being recognized for their support with Southold Town’s annual Fourth of July Parade and various village beautification projects.

Ms. Walker said the Krupski family, which owns Krupski’s Pumpkin Farm in Peconic, is being honored for its commitment to educating schoolchildren about farming and the importance of agritourism on the North Fork.
