Cops: Flanders woman charged in Southold theft

A Flanders woman is facing a felony grand larceny charge after allegedly stealing a diamond and gold necklace from a Southold home, Southold Town police said.

Lynn Danowski, 36, was arrested by Southold police at her Flanders home on Nash Avenue last night, police said.

Ms. Danowski, an acquaintance of the Southold homeowner, is suspected of taking the $1,200 piece of jewelry on Jan. 11, police said.

She was charged with felony grand larceny, according to a police report.

She was taken to Southold Town police headquarters where she was held awaiting arraignment, the report stated.

Ms. Danowski also has two active warrants from Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
