The Southold Town Anti-Bias Task Force held a memorial program in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. at the Orient Congregational Church in Orient Sunday afternoon.

Keynote speaker Rev. Dr. William Earl Thomas, pastor of St. John’s Baptist Church of West Hempstead, gave a spirited speech on the theme of “rising up and restoring the dream.”

Other speakers included Supervisor Scott Russell and Rabbi Gadi Capela of Greenport’s Congregation Tifereth Israel.
