Assessors extend hours to help residents during tax season

The Southold Town Board of Assessors office is holding special hours to assist residents with filing  for tax exemptions.

The Assessors office will be open on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to noon and  on Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 5 p.m. t0 7 p.m. at Southold Town Hall.

Seniors looking to get help with their tax exemption applications can do so at the Human Resource Center later this week.

On Thursday, Feb. 6, residents over the age of 65 can receive help from the assessors from 10 a.m. to noon at the Human Resource Center, 750 Pacific Street, Mattituck.

The deadline for filing applications is Monday, March 3 at 4 p.m.
