The Mattituck boys basketball team will open up the playoffs Tuesday on the road against Wyandanch in a Conference B outbracket game, Section XI announced Monday.

The No. 5 Tuckers (10-8) will tip off against the  No. 4 Warriors (7-11) at 5 p.m. The winner plays Thursday at top-ranked Babylon (15-2).

Greenport is the only other local boys basketball team to qualify for the postseason. The top-ranked Porters (8-10) host No. 4 Bridgehampton (8-10) in the Class D semifinal at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The winner of the Greenport-Bridgehampton game advances to Saturday’s Class D championship.
