A 20-year-old Greenport man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl allegedly had sex with the girl on several separate dates, including three times on Jan. 20, six days before he was arrested by Southold Town police, prosecutors said.

Erick Ramirez was arraigned in county court Thursday morning on 10 counts of felony rape and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

According to his indictment by a grand jury, Mr. Ramirez “engaged in sexual intercourse” with the victim on or about Nov. 28 to Dec. 25, on Dec. 13 and three times on Jan. 20. He faces two counts of rape — a first and second degree charge — for each alleged incident.

Mr. Ramirez’s attorney, Riverhead-based Luis Pagan, could not be reached for comment Thursday afternoon.

The Greenport man, a former soccer standout at Greenport High School in 2011 and 2012 who earned all-league honors, is also in the custody of Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials due to questions concerning his immigration status, authorities said.

He is due back in court on Mar. 13, a court clerk said.
