Photos: CAST, Southold Mother’s Club Valentine’s Day party
More than 50 children attended a Valentine’s Day party hosted Feb. 7 by CAST (Community Action Southold Town) and Southold Mother’s Club.
During the event, which took place at Floyd Memorial Library in Greenport, attendees crafted wooden lizards and “Valentine worms” using supplies distributed by Joe Cortale, the children’s librarian at Floyd Memorial Library, said Melissa Rudder of Southold Mother’s Club.
Later, Mr. Cortale told the children stories and guests listened to live music performed by Sarah Benjamin.
The party was the first collaboration between CAST and SMC, Ms. Rudder said.
